Dewberry to Revise USACE Manual for Photogrammetry and LiDAR
Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, will be assisting with the revision of the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Manual for Photogrammetry and LiDAR. This manual has served as an industry standard for mapping professionals around the world for many years.
The current manual requires revision to maintain relevancy with current photogrammetric and LIDAR policies, techniques, and methodologies. Dewberry will be led by the USACE St. Louis District, which is responsible for the rewrite. The publication will be available in 2013.
Dewberry’s extensive background in photogrammetry and LiDAR, as well as history of developing mapping guidelines, specifications, and manuals for other agencies, were reasons for selection.
“Dewberry has the available professional and technical staff to provide guidance to the latest advances in the photogrammetric industry,” said Ted Stanton, chief, geodesy and photogrammetry section for USACE, St. Louis District.
